About us
A heritage of protection since 1959
Three generations of scientific expertise, one commitment: safe, effective protection for the people and products our clients depend on.
Our story
Egypt's first fumigation company
Alexandria Chemical Co. was founded in 1959 by chemist and entomologist Saad Elmaghraby (1924–1989), a pioneer of professional fumigation services in Egypt. Chemalex became the country’s first dedicated fumigation company, officially authorised by both the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health.
Today, his son, agricultural engineer Sherif Saad Elmaghraby, leads the company, continuing its founding standards while introducing modern equipment, advanced methods and an expanded range of services.
More than six decades later, Chemalex protects homes, food producers, exporters, hotels and critical infrastructure across Egypt. While our technology and capabilities have evolved, our commitment remains the same: scientific expertise, precision and safety.
Since 1959, Chemalex has combined experience, expertise and innovation to protect what matters.
“Scientific knowledge, careful execution and safety, since 1959.”
