Our services
Fumigation
Certified fumigation for silos, warehouses, ships, containers, produce, timber and export goods, including ISPM 15.
Overview
Fumigation is where Chemalex began. In 1959 we became Egypt's first fumigation company, and we remain officially authorised by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health.
Fumigation reaches pests hidden deep inside stored goods, packaging and structures where no other treatment can. We carry out every job under strict safety controls, from sealing and gas monitoring to ventilation and clearance.
Fumigation is done under the supervision of the Egyptian Plant Quarantine Authority.

Our treatment method

Assessment
We identify the pest and commodity, measure the space and select the correct fumigant, dose and exposure time.
- 2
Sealing
The silo, container, warehouse or tarpaulin stack is sealed and warning signs are posted around the area.
- 3
Fumigation and monitoring
The fumigant is released and concentration is monitored throughout the exposure period.
- 4
Ventilation and clearance
The space is aired out and tested before re-entry is allowed. Treatment certificates are issued where required.

How long does fumigation take?
It depends on the commodity, temperature and fumigant, typically from one to several days including ventilation. We confirm timings during assessment.
